Overview

The VIS42 MCP Server is built into the platform—there’s no separate installation required. You simply need to configure your MCP-compatible AI client. This guide covers setup for popular MCP clients.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  • An active VIS42 account
  • An MCP-compatible AI client (such as Claude)
The recommended Claude (Remote Connector) flow signs you in with OAuth, so no API token is required. Only the Claude Desktop Extension flow needs a VIS42 API token.

Choose Your Client

Connect VIS42 straight from Claude — no download required. Authentication uses OAuth, so you never paste an API token.
  1. Open Claude and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Connectors.
  3. Click Add custom connector.
  4. Enter the VIS42 MCP Server URL: 
    https://vis42.com/api/mcp
  5. Click Add, then Connect. Claude redirects you to VIS42 to sign in and authorize access.
  6. Approve the requested mcp:use scope. You’ll be returned to Claude with VIS42 connected.
VIS42 now appears in Claude’s connector menu. Claude can work with your receivables, payables, expenses, ledger, and reconciliation — always scoped to your business role and permissions.
